TigerAlert Notification System

The Princeton TigerAlert notification system is an emergency notification system that allows authorized Princeton officials to send news and instructions simultaneously to University faculty, staff, and students through landline phones, cellular phones, text messaging, and e-mail.

The University will communicate with the community during events such as weather-related closings, public health crises, public safety emergencies, and other unique emergency situations.

Update your contact information, find out more information about the TigerAlert notification system, and review basic procedures to follow in a campus emergency.

Emergency Blue Light Phones and Towers

Communicate Directly With DPS

There are 23 blue light communication towers and 42 blue light phones throughout campus. With the push of a button the user can communicate directly with the Department of Public Safety Communication Center. This enhanced technology also allows DPS to send out emergency broadcast alerts as needed - e.g., seek shelter due to a pending lightning storm. The location of each tower is digitally displayed to the DPS Communication Center.
