NJSACOP Accreditation Notice

Dec. 28, 2024

The Princeton University Department of Public Safety is scheduled for an on-site assessment as part of a program to maintain state accredited status by verifying that it continues to meet recognized professional best practices.

Administered by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP), the accreditation program requires law enforcement agencies to comply with best practice standards in five basic areas: the administrative function, the personnel function, the operations function, the investigative function, and arrestee/detainee function.

Agency employees, members of the campus and the public are invited to offer comments by calling (609) 258-8796 on Friday, January 3, 2025, between the hours of 9:30AM – 10:30AM. The NJSACOP assessor will take comments. Email comments can be sent to the Princeton University Department of Public Safety at [email protected].

Telephone comments are limited to 5 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with the NJSACOP standards. Please contact Accreditation and Compliance Coordinator David Finck at (609) 258-8796 for information about the standards.

Anyone wishing to submit written comments about the Princeton University Department of Public Safety’s ability to comply with the standards for accreditation may send them by email to Harry J. Delgado, Accreditation Program Director, [email protected], or write to the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police, Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission at 751 Route 73 North, Suite 12, Marlton, New Jersey 08053.
