
Food truck vendors can submit a completed permit application and the appropriate fee to the applicable Municipality’s Bureau of Fire Safety or Fire Prevention Office.

*The Town of Princeton requires WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION from the University in order for the vendor to operate on University property. This authorization must be approved and signed by a staff or faculty member that can act as an agent of the University. Please note that students are not considered “Agents” of the University.

If the vendor is submitting the application directly to the Municipality, they must provide a copy of the permit application to the University Fire Marshal’s Office either by email to dpsfire@princeton.edu or by dropping the copy off at the Department of Public Safety, 200 Elm Drive on the University’s Main Campus.
An inspection will be scheduled between the permit applicant and the Municipality.
An approved permit will be issued by the Municipality upon the satisfactory inspection of all equipment and set-up to be utilized for that specific event that the permit covers.
